Search Console data is stuck, and it may mean an update
Google's Search Console has gone quiet for more than two days, and one SEO says the same lag came right before the last couple of broad core updates. Your traffic numbers are not broken, they are just late.

Why your traffic moved
Your Google traffic report is running days behind
Google Search Console's performance report (where you see clicks and search positions) is severely delayed, Barry Schwartz reported. Shaun Anderson says this same lag showed up the last couple of times just before Google went for commodity content in a broad core update (a big ranking change), and expects that update any day now.

Who this affects: Anyone who checks Search Console for clicks or rankings.
- Ignore missing recent days in Search Console this week.
- Our take: note today's rankings so you can compare later.
Maps and your listing
Google's AI can now answer questions about a map area
Gemini, Google's AI assistant, added a Map tool that started showing up for users around October 2. Glenn Gabe tested it and says you point at a place on a map, tap "Explore this area", and Gemini adds a Map Area chip to your question instead of you describing the location.
Who this affects: Businesses that serve customers in a specific town or neighborhood.
- Nothing to do yet, it is too new to act on.
