Google Business Profile has a new Collected info tab

Barry Schwartz says the feature he wrote about two months ago is now officially live.

Google Business Profile, the free listing that puts your business on Google Maps and in search results, has a new "Collected info" feature and it is now officially live.

Barry Schwartz (@rustybrick) posted that the feature is live and pointed back to his own coverage of it from two months ago, when it was first spotted in testing. So this is not a surprise launch. It is a test that graduated into the real product.

What we know and what we do not

The only thing confirmed here is the rollout itself. Barry Schwartz's post does not spell out what the tab shows every business, or whether every account has it yet, so treat the details as unclear until Google or more owners describe what they see.

A slow drip from test to launch is normal for Business Profile features. Things show up for a handful of accounts, disappear, then come back weeks or months later for everyone.

What to do

Sign in to your Google Business Profile and look for a "Collected info" tab. Read whatever is in there and check that the details match how your business actually operates today, the same way you would check your hours, phone number and address.

If you do not see the tab yet, do nothing. Rollouts reach accounts at different times, and there is nothing to fix on your end.

This matters more for local businesses than anyone else. Your Business Profile is often the first thing a customer sees about you, ahead of your website, so anything new that appears inside it is worth two minutes of your attention.

The habit is the real point. Open your profile once a month, skim every field, and correct anything wrong. That one check does more for local visibility than most of the tactics people worry about.
